• Can I reach Meier Lake by car?
    While Meier Lake may have all the feelings of a remote wilderness lodge, we are connected to the road system, making travel easy. We also have a helicopter takeoff/landing space if desired. No private planes currently, but the Wasilla & Palmer airports are just minutes away.

    Is there Wi-Fi at Meier Lake?
    Wi-Fi on property reaches all cabins.

    Are there dining options at Meier Lake?
    Breakfast boxes are included with all stays, which include coffee + light fare to get your day started. While we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, most items are based on availability. Other dining options must be arranged prior or visit local establishments in Palmer or Wasilla.

    Are pets allowed?
    Pets and emotional support animals are not allowed at Meier Lake at this time. Service animals with paperwork are allowed but must be kept on a leash and supervised at all times.

    What kind of TV service is available?
    Our rooms are designed for you to unplug and connect with beautiful vistas outside your cabin door. There are two large flat-screen TVs available in the lodge for guest usage.

    Is smoking allowed?
    Smoking is not allowed in any rooms or inside buildings. Smoking is only allowed in designated patio areas and on your cabin porch. Please contact a staff member to have an ash tray placed on your porch.

    What is the dress code at the resort?
    The dress code depends on the type of stay. At minimum, we recommend casual elegance. Guests are welcome to dress as they please with the exception no swimwear in the 2nd floor lodge space and no clothing with offensive language or graphics that distract from the comfort and well-being of others.

  • Do you book destination weddings?
    Yes! We love hosting our out-of-state visitors looking to celebrate their special day in an exclusive and private setting. One of the benefits of Meier Lake is the ability to host your closest family and friends together in one location.

    Can I see the space?
    Yes! We would be happy to give you a scheduled walk-through and answer any questions to help you make your decision to book. Once you are booked, additional walk-throughs are available for you and your vendors. You may book your walk-through by clicking here or emailing info@meierlake.com.

    How do I hold a date?
    To hold a date, you need to contact our event manager. If the date is available, we will offer a 3-day soft hold while details are discussed. A hold is not secure until the required deposit is returned with a signed contract. In the event that another party is interested in the venue before we receive these items, we will do our best to let you advise you, but dates are booked on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Do you offer tables and chairs for rent?
    A number of tables and chairs are included in your event, free of charge.

    Who does the setup and breakdown of tables and chairs?
    We do! Our skilled team handles the set up and breakdown of all tables and chairs.

    Is dishware/flatware available for rent?
    Yes! We do have dishware/flatware/glassware available for rent.

    Can I use an Event/Wedding Planner?
    Yes. We prefer the use of an event/wedding planner or organizer as it will allow for a more successful event, because they are experienced and well equipped for most situations. Please contact us for our local recommendations of the best.

    Can I drop off items the day before?
    It depends on availability, but you can discuss this with the venue manager after booking. If we have storage available, or there is not an event booked that day, we may be able to accommodate you. Meier Lake is not responsible for items left unattended.

    Can two events happen simultaneously on my event day?
    No, we will never book two events on the same day. You have exclusive rights to the venue during your event, ensuring complete privacy.

    Do you charge tax and gratuity?
    We charge a 5% bed tax. We do not charge gratuity. We believe our staff is wonderful and will treat you and your guests to an exceptional event, therefore, we let gratuity be up to your discretion.

    Do you charge a service fee?
    No. Our pricing is a flat fee + any extras rented. There are no hidden fees.

    Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
    Yes. Our venue, patio and our restrooms are all accessible.

    I’m having trouble booking my room reservation for the selected event date, can you help?
    Some special event reservations are reserved directly through the host, please contact your event host for details. If your event requests you to make reservations, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

    Can I have a food truck?
    Yes, food trucks are very fun in our space. Food trucks can set up either in parking lot or in the Glen. Additionally, caterers are welcome to use our commercial kitchen space.

  • What is your Check-in/out times?
    Check-in 3 PM-9 PM, Check-out 11 AM. Please contact us ahead of time to book an earlier/later check in, or a late check-out. Please contact us ahead of time for late hotel arrivals.

    How late can we check in?
    Our standard check-in time ends at 9:30 PM. Should you need to check in late, please advise when making the reservation or call the hotel directly before your day of arrival. For security reasons, our gate is closed nightly, we cannot guarantee late check-ins without prior notice.

    When is the gate open?
    Our gate is open for hotel guests from 9 AM – 10 PM

    Do you offer free parking?
    Yes! Once checked-in, we welcome you to pull your vehicle right up to your room for your convenience.

    What is your cancellation policy?
    We offer a flexible cancellation policy up to 48 hours before arrival.

    Do you have a reservation waitlist?
    We do have waitlists and will notify you should rooms become available.

    Can we use the boats?
    Use of all watercraft and sauna access is included with all hotel stays. We ask that you wear a life vest while on the lake and observe all sauna rules.

    Lighting things on fire:
    Campfire/sauna/fireplace. We offer multiple wood burning facilities, such as our campfire, fireplace, and sauna. Always see an associate about lighting a fire. On busy hotel nights, the campfire is lit at 7 PM. If you would like to schedule a time for use of the sauna, please see a staff member.

    Are there refrigerators or stoves for use at Meier Lake?
    Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge. In-room microwaves are available upon request. A tea pot, microwave, fresh water, and ice are available in 2nd floor of the lodge. There are no stoves or ovens available for hotel guest use.

    Are baby cribs or cots available?
    There is one Pack-N-Play baby crib and one-roll away cot available upon request, but the hotel must be notified in advance.

    Do you have a spa?
    We do not have an on-site spa. We feature a lakeside cedar sauna and offer in-room spa services through licensed, local massage therapists. Please contact us ahead of your stay to book reservations.

    Is there a fitness room?
    Our fitness room is coming in late 2022!

    Do you have laundry services?
    Valet cleaning is available for a fee. Please see a staff member to arrange laundry services.

    Are there bathrooms in the cabins?
    In keeping with our summer camp roots, all of our cabins are dry. The lux shower house is only steps away and contains any amenities you may need. If you find you have forgotten something, please let an associate know, there are a variety of additional amenities, assuring that you never have to leave the resort.

  • What is the closest airport?
    We are located approximately 45 minutes from the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC).

    Does Meier Lake arrange airport transfers or shuttles?
    While our hotel does not provide courtesy transportation, there are plenty of options to get here! Rental cars are usually the best way to get around the largest state in the union and we encourage you to get out and explore the local sights! Taxis/Uber/Lyft are also available, and range in price from $75-175 per trip to/from Anchorage.
